Have you imagine how communication evolved? Do you think our ancestors had difficulties in communicating due to Miscommunication? Have you heard about communication barriers? Since the beginning, our ancestors had the capability to use different ways to communicate. One of those ways is to mimick the sounds of animals from surrounding like birds, apes, crickets, etc. they are mimicking those sounds as a signal for other companions. They didn't learn how to speak that's why sounds of nature became their way of communication. Another method they are using is through hand gestures and hand signals. They are using it to communicate to others. I can't believe that it's easy for them to understand each other, maybe they we're skilled in using that kind of communication because words is not invented that time. In addition, hand gestures is used until now because it is the easy way to transmit ng message even though your far away, especially if there are interruptions like noise from surrounding. It is useful especially if you want to hide your secrets through hand signaling. We can't neglect the fact that our ancestors are using different method of communicating to deliver a message that until now we are using it in our society. There are different theories about the origin of language some theories pointing out that language came from sound of nature, some are mimic from animals, sound of wind, etc. Those theories have the same concept and I believe that they are all the same, they are the reason why language has been created and widely used by humanity.

Now we are using different kinds of language in different parts of the world. For an instance, In Japan they used different kind of language which is Japanese, Japanese people are able to understand their own language like here on Philippines we are using Tagalog as National Language, fun fact here on Philippines is we have more than hundreds of dialects used in 3 archipelago, Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Even though we dphave different dialect, we are still come up with the same language which is tagalog. No matter where you are here on Philippines, anyone knows how to speak tagalog. When it comes to outside of sovereignty, humanity in different language can understand one lingua franca which is English. English is considered as universal language since it was widely used. Due to globalization, other countries need to study English because it's the only language that everyone understands. Due to evolution of technology, our way of communication moves into new level. We are now on digital age in which the way we communicate are using social media. It is rampant nowadays that messages are delivered in just one click, unlike before that messages are transmitted through letters and messenger. Now, it is easy for us to communicate due to technological evolution. Even if our relatives works abroad, it easy for us to communicate with them with the use of Facebook, Skype, Messenger, etc. They won't feel home sick because they will feel that we are there together with them because of gadgets and social media we are using.

Despite of evolution of communication today, we can't avoid to face barriers in communication. Communication barriers are those disturbance to communication. For an instance, you and your friend is talking on the road. She's telling the story in climax part but suddenly there was a horn of cars interrupt the conversation and due to that, the message she want to convey didn't transmit on you clearly. There are different types of communication barriers like noise from surroundings, language barriers, this is a common barrier for two people that have different nationalities. For example, there is Korean and Japanese talking to each other, there is a possibility that they won't understand each other because they are using different language. There is a famous sit-com called Mind your language, it is a funny to watch because the actors there have different nationalities and it's funny to watch that they can't understand each other due to their jargon and slang. When it comes to social media, there are also barriers that happens. Due to lack of face to face communication sometimes two person talking using social media can't understand each other and sometimes leads to misinformation and miscommunication. It is also a big problem once the message received by you is not clear and if you will transfer it to another person, there's a high possibility that you will transmit different message.

Author's Message:

To avoid those kind of barriers, it's better to find a place that is quiet if you want to deliver an important message. If you are using social media, it is recommendable to understand the message carefully before replying or giving your own opinion, it's common to experience typographical errors that's why it's important to ask the sender if he or she delivers a right message.

Precisely, technology level ups our communication into next level through digital devices and social media. It is also good that all people no matter what nationalities they have will learn basic English so that it's easy for them to communicate with other people with different nationality.
