Geometry

This is the geometry typically taught in school, where figures are two-dimensional and displayed on a notebook on a flat surface.

In real life the minimum qualified distance on the Earth's surface is a curve called a geodesic. This is because our planet is not flat.

So we do not use Euclidean geometry here, but Riemannian geometry.
