Our world is becoming a darker place, life is getting stressful, depression is overwhelming. Let's talk about it.
In this article, you will find the positivity you was looking for, it's all about being positive in life. Life is not easy and it can be harsh sometimes, but the key is to stay positive. You are able to cross whatever is coming into your way by not overthinking. Let it be, and you be you.
1 - You definitely matter, no matter what
There are many nice things people do on a daily basis that makes OTHER people happy, without even realizing it. Did you even smile at someone on the road? Or have you ever helped a homeless person by giving him money? Have you ever pet an animal or gave it water in a hot day? All those things matters quite a lot, and you were the reason behind them, so you definitely matter. And if you never did, this is your moment. Your own life will be happier by cheering someone else up, it will make their life happier, which will in return make yours too.
2 - Be thankful for what you have
Think about it, if you stop worrying about that new smartphone you want, or that cool looking outfit you saw that day in the store, and be thankful for what you have, it will surely lift your mood. Be happy and proud of what you have, if you are fortunate enough to have a roof over your head, food in your refrigerator, clothes and a place to sleep, then you are richer than 75% of this world. Be grateful and stress less, and happiness will find it's way to you.
3 - You are making the problems bigger than they seems to be
Well, most of the things that you fear throughout your life might actually never happen. You might be piling up thoughts inside your mind, which will most likely get you overwhelmed by negativity. Let your mind rest, think less and stay happy. Life is too short to overthink everything that happens around us.
4 - You are expecting more than you should
Having really high expectations in someone else's respond to your statement, expecting a gift in return or simply putting extremely high standard for yourself and think you have to accomplish them might put you in a negative state or failure, rather expect less, give more and enjoy your life.
5 - Spend more time with positive people
Positivity is obtained by many things, and one of them is from friends or people in general. If you ever happen to have negative-thinking friends or co-workers, simply spend less time with them. People that put you down are not the best for you. On the other hand, limit your intake of stress-pumped news on TV and social media if that as well makes you unhappy, rather spend more time with positive-minded and optimistic people.
6 - Adopt a little kitten
Another way that cheers you up no matter what is to have someone by your side, that care for you and love you as much as they love their food, and that is a kitten that will grow up to be a beautiful cat. Animals are innocent and lovely, and the way you treat them reflect their behavior towards you. By having a pet, and especially a cat, you will be more worried about when to stop petting it rather than anything else. Cats are friendly and wholesome animals.
7 - Sleeping is important for mental health
Your mental health is affected by bad sleep, which in return awards you with depression, anxiety, or even bipolar disorder. An average adult needs around 7 to 9 hours of sleep per night. Start by sleeping better, eating better and watch your life change for the better.
8 - Find solutions for your problems
Your problem needs a solution, and you are the best at making it. Focus on yourself and see where the issue is coming from. Monitor your bad thoughts and see if there is a problem in the first place. Ask yourself, what should I do to solve this issue? Is it really as big as I'm making it look? Where and how do I start by solving it?
Your thoughts are yours, and you are responsible for finding the remedies for a happy life.
9 - Never give up
You are not alone, tons of people run into depression and stress like no other, but don't let it get into you. Don't give up and most importantly, stay strong.
“There is no failure except in no longer trying.”
― Elbert Hubbard
