I had walked a great distance, down the bushy parthway that lay just in front of me. Up till the mountains that stood tall ahead, pointing vertically, towards the blue skies. Every thing seemed so new to me. I couldn't place or pinpoint the exact environment I was., Was I hallucinating?
I kept my pace, walking a little briskly more than previous this time. I was amazed at the new sites I saw. I was thrilled at all that stood before my very eyes. The caves, the tall and mighty trees I had read in novels and watched sometimes on wild life channels, were before my eyes, Live! Just then, I remembered my camera and reached out to my backpack to bring it., Just to take some amazing shots and probably show my best friend,Dave. When I finally venture back home.
I kept searching every nook and cranny of hidden places on, within, and around that very spot I stood. There wasn't any backpack., There wasn't any camera. There was just me, in an unknown land.
I looked around once more, more conspicuous and afraid than I did earlier. Just then, reality dawned on me that I was lost.
"But how on earth did I get here?" I asked myself as I wandered as a lost child, of which I was now. How did I manage to get my self to strange lands I never saw, heard of, or even knew existed. Was this Munroe taking his very own pound of flesh from me?
Hey Munroe, where are you! Come and face me!!
I shouted , using the highest pitch of my voice. I was more than convinced that Munroe did this to me. Yes! I knew he did.
Munroe was my learning mate at the magic Institution where we and other kids learned the mighty craft of magic. We had been placed on a bet , that who ever wins, gets to take the golden wand home. If you ever had a single idea of how priceless the golden wand is, I bet ,if you were in either of our shoes, you will stop at nothing to get it.
I had put in my best that day, and as the universe would have it, I won too. I was given the golden wand to the dismay of Munroe.
Dusk of that day, I received an anonymous text, which read
"You dumb-ass, what audacity have you to steal my treasure wholly! I would take what belongs to me at all cost."
After reading this 3 lined threat letter, or whatever it is termed., I was scared. I had wronged no one in question. What on earth , was it that I had stolen. I decided to leave the cemetry, and headed back to my shallow apartment, down the lonely streets, of which the institution laid.
It was exactly 6:45pm, as I had taken note, when I saw the darkened clouds already., Which prompted me to have a look at my watch. While I raised up my head, I was welcomed with a space shifting blow. I wasn't expecting any of that sort, so I fell to the grounds, still trying to put my self in total defense, while rubbing my chin. But sadly, I wasn't given so much time for that luxury, as I was lifted up by hands, which held so tightly on my shirts collar., And same time, I was forcefully pushed to the walls , with my back having to bear the brunt of it all ,while the strong hands still held me captive.
"Who are you ,and what do you want?" Was all I could say barely loud. And just then, the masked guy, quickly unmasked himself, revealing his identity to me.
Munroe!!
"Munroe!" He said, mimicking me.
"You stole my treasure dude! And for that, I would send you to your very one misery. I will send you on a journey to lands you never knew. It will just be you, and invisible Munroe tormenting you. Hahahah!!"
That was it. I vividly remember everything now. And just after than dreadful laughter, I landed in here.
I kept walking not withstanding. I didn't have any compass of any sort, neither did I know were I was, or the way out. But I was ever determined to rescue myself. I reached a place that seemed like snow had covered the entire surface of the ground, but what shocked me was that, the snow only fell within that region alone. Strange right? I don't know the zeal I suddenly had to keep going. Whatever it was, it wasn't a good one, as I sensed danger ahead as I forged more and even more. I tried to stop myself from going any further, but I couldn't.
I was at the center of this very snowed covered region, when I began to sink. Help!! I screamed aloud, while I tried holding unto some woods that were visible on the spot. But just everything were soon getting under the ground., Me inclusive.
I sank down, beneath the surface of the earth, unto another surface of earth. A very wierd one to crown it all. I had landed with my back again .
Arggh! I let our a groan, as I spitefully turned around on the ground, in a bit of a roll-like manner. Just then, I opened my eyes that had been closed all these while. Only to meet steep darkness. It turned out I was in a cave. I looked up for the opening from which I fell, but I couldn't find any. This startled me the more.
Why were all this happening to me ?
Munroe !!
I called again, with my very own voice echoing to my eyes, up till the 5th time.
"Let me out of here, and I will give you whatever you ask for, please"
I had to use the word " please" to seem more polite and intentional. Just maybe, he may come to my aid and get me out of the misery he put me into.
Munroe?
I called again, but still no reply.
Munroe!!!!!??
I called more loudly than ever this time. I had lost hope on getting to hear a word from him, when I suddenly heard words my ears couldn't contain.
"How dare you speak in my zone!! Do you know the gravity of your wrongs., You!! You!!...
I didn't know what to do, as the strength and power in the voice I heard left me crashing so many times to the ground as I tried to run away. But I couldn't! I felt something more like a magnet energy, that pulled me back to the direction of this voice.
It didn't stop there, this man ,which I later found out to be a giant, kept shouting and walking towards me, as the caves started crashing down, as if in conspiracy with the gaint of a man. I didn't know where to go to. It was still he'll dark in there. I only had his voice to trace the direction from which he came from, but now, I faced two problems.
The giant,
And the Crashing caves., Of which I was into.
I discovered a little hideout, and stayed there while the giant rummaged round the crashing cave. It soon stopped crashing, as I was careful enough not to make a sound. Over 65% of the cave were crashed down to earth, and I was expecting to see a blink of light, atleast from the sun or moon. But to my dismay, there wasn't any natural satellites at all. Sun, moon, stars, or others... It was just me in the dark again.
Just when I thought I could have a little bit of rest, to replenish my lost strength, something touched my slender hair.
And I turned around, expecting to see a skull, a spider web, bones , or just a piece of clothing from other people that may have been here and never made it out alive...
I turned round, only to see the giant smiling mischievously at me.
Hey Grishh!
Ahh!!
I screamed and blanked out.
