I invite you to be the one to welcome other people into your life. Hospitality is based on love, respect and recognition of the importance that other people have for us.

We recently spent a few days at a good friend's house enjoying her hospitality. She was so confident that she allowed us to use her kitchen, her towels, open the refrigerator and even participate in family dynamics, without asking permission to do so.

Today, remembering everything we shared during those days, I realize how important it is for all of us to feel welcome in the lives of other people, especially in that of our friends and family with whom we wish to meet even once in a while .

Life outside of us has become a kind of crazy race, where we often have to face destructive competition, envy, jealousy, selfishness, fear, and prejudice from others. That is why it is so important to have safe spaces, where we feel welcome, where we can express ourselves freely, be authentic, without the need to pretend what we are not to be accepted or feel loved; a place where we can share and support each other so that our existence is much smoother, more satisfying and happy.

Instead of waiting for others to welcome you, I invite you to be the one who welcomes other people into your life. Hospitality is based on love, respect and recognition of the importance that other people have for us. And more than giving them a physical space to be in, hospitality is an inner attitude, a predisposition to give, to share, to offer others the best of our thoughts, feelings and actions at a given moment.

There are several reasons why we keep closed to the presence of others in our life: due to some negative experience, mistrust, selfishness; for thinking that instead of giving us, they are going to take from us; for comfort; the shame or fear of thinking that we have nothing to give; due to stress or due to an excess of formality and perfectionism ... any of them will make contact, sharing and exchange with other people more difficult.

The selfish never share with others what they have and, in addition, they keep the best for themselves, thinking that, in this way, they will be able to keep it for longer. Instead, generous people give the best of what they have, without fear of losing it, knowing that the universe will always give it back.

Let's open the doors of our lives to welcome others! May we be a home where they can rest, recover, and feel unconditionally loved and accepted. Let us build for ourselves, for our children and their children a spiritual network of unconditional love, where we all feel welcomed, accepted and accompanied, with respect, trust, consideration, loyalty, conscience and love.

What you give to others will be what you receive multiplied many times over!
