Lekki Massacre

On that day 

We danced in daylight 

Naked wave 

To The Gate....

Gate of hell

And embraced death 

FATHERS, MOTHERS, CHILDREN...

But we danced 

In a sudden rain of bullets...

As the night fell a day light 

And naked wave of men 

Jubilated to The Gate of hell. 

The helpless dead dressed 

In a country’s flag

Wherein it is criminal offense

To walk the sands in peaceful protest.
