Iconic Superheros and Villains in history have been inspired by real people and their creators openly admitted to it. In some cases, inspiration was for the characters personality, and in other cases it was for characters look. This thing not only applies on just Superhero genre but even in Literature, Novels, Games and Mangas too. 01. Magneto
The personality of Magneto is highly inspired by Sir Malcolm X.
Sir Malcolm X was an african american muslim minister and human rights activist. He was a popular figure during the civil rights movement.
His real name was " el-Hajj Malik el-Shabazz". It was said that at the time of creation of Magneto his creators was heavily inspired by Malcolm X and Charles Francis Xavier was created by getting inspired by Martin Luther King, Jr.
As in movies we know both Magneto and Charles wanted to create this world comfortable place for mutents and fight for the rights of mutents similarly Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr fought for human rights.
02. Wolverine
Logan's one of the creator John Byrne admitted that logan is inspired by a 1977's movie Slap Shot's character Dr. Hook. Interesting thing is that Dr. Hook had appeared in movie just for 5 minutes. His character was aggressive and bold.
John Byrne said in comic Tomorrow's Back Issue #4 that my wolverine is based on Slap Shot's character Dr Hook. I don't even know his original name.
John Byrne took inspiration from Dr Hook's attitude, aggressiveness, acts and even his beard.
03. Tony Stark a.k.a Iron Man
If we talk about modern day inspiration of Tony Stark then, latest he resembles "Elon Musk". His personality and attitude much resembles Elon Musk.
Elon Musk is intelligent, billionaire, philanthropist and ladies man too 😝
An other inspiration of Tony Stark in the vintage years was "Howard Hughes". He was the inspiration of Tony Stark in his starting days. Infact Tony Stark's father was named after him.
Howard Hughes was the unconventional billionaire of that time. He was a business magnet, engineer, film director, philanthropist and record setting pilot. He had affairs with many girls. He was officially married two times...... Officially.
04. Bucky Barnes
Bucky Barnes is highly inspired by real person Bucky Pierson. The creator Joe Simon said in his biography that Bucky Barnes was named after his friend Bucky Pierson, a star on our high school basketball team.
Joe Simon created Bucky Barnes as on of the most trusted friend of Captain America.
Inspiration can come from anywhere irrespective of the cast, colour, wealth, popularity.
