There are child friendly superhero movies out there but now a days some movies are coming out of league in superhero genre. These types of movies were less in numbers but they are increasing day by day.

In this article we are going to talk about top 10 superhero movies which are hard R-rated and they are still in the market irrespective to the studios.

10. Punisher War Zone (2008)

Punisher War Zone was not so special but yeah, I liked it. It was a blood-soaked movie of that time. But it must be like that because it is Marvel's Frank Castle. Movie showed so much blood and violence which did justice to character's personality, for sure.

09. Bright Burn (2019)

The next R-rated superhero movie in which a young boy got a lead role, produced by our James Gunn is "Bright Burn". The concept of story of this movie is based on superman. Came from another planet, adopted by humans. But this time superman is not a good guy but a bad one. This movie tells us "how evil superman can be with all his powers". A 12 years old boy uses his power in a horror way that even his own parents got scared of him.

This is not a comic based movie but it is inspired by superman but in a different way. This movie is Hard R-rated because it includes horror violence, blood images and mature language.

08. Darkman (1990)

Before directing the spiderman trilogy Sam Raimi directed a dark Superhero movie for weird and extreme intentions. Long story short, this movie tells us the story of Peyton Westlake a.k.a darkman. He was a scientist who almost died in a planned accident. Now he wants to kill everyone who stoled his face, job and love. Movie includes major violent action sequences on a large scale.

07. The Crow (1994)

The next hard R-rated movie is "The Crow" starring Bruce Lee's son Brandon Lee. This was the last movie of Brandon Lee because someone shot him dead on the set.

Anyways his acting in the movie was superb. Although his hairstyle and fashion looked cheezy but that's ok. Eric Draven is a musician who is resurrected by a crow to avenge the rape and murder of his fiancee, as well as his own death. This movie includes strong amount of violence, mature language, drug use and some *xuality.

06. Kickass (2010)

If you are a modern day age's superhero fan and had not watched kickass... Bruh....... Are you really a superhero fan ?

Anyways, Dave Lizewski is a comic geek who wants to be a real superhero kickass. Other two characters are Hit-girl and Big-daddy who want to show their heroic actions. This movie crossed all limits. This movie includes strong violence, mature language, *xual content, nudity, drug use and unfortunately children are involved in this picture.

05. Deadpool 2 (2018)

This is not only me but everyone believe that deadpool is the movie which turned main canon superhero movies to R-rated.

I chooses this spot for deadpool 2 because it was just little bit lesser violent than deadpool. If you are a superhero movies fan then deadpool needs no introduction. Lets talk about its rating. This movie is rated R because it includes strong violence, mature language and a lot of inappropriate scenes.

04. Blade (trilogy 1998-2004)

This character is based on Marvel Comics portrayed by Wesley Snipes. This was the major Superhero we knew way before marvel started developing its cinematic universe. Story revolves around vampires. Movie includes strong violence, pervasive vampire violence and underworld's wrong doing.

03. Logan (2017)

Modern day superhero movies includes Logan, a heartbreaking end of the story. You would see a emotional dark touch from the start to the end of the movie.

Movie includes literal strong brutal violence, unfortunately kids are involved in that violence, brutal language through out the story and a little bit of nudity.

02. Watchmen (2009)

The next R-rated superhero movie is Zack Snyder's watchmen. This movie showed us a different face of superheros. Everyone has a evil inside. Indirectly no one is working for others. This movie tried to convey many messages.

And if we talk about its rating, for sure, 100% this picture is not made for kids in any aspect. This movie is completely made for mature audience because it includes more than the normal, strong brutal violence, brutal language and actions, *xuality, nudity. Picture tells us how bad a superhero world can be.

01. Deadpool (2016)

Last but not the least Deadpool 1. The First R-rated Marvel movie which was commercially super duper hit. And so far No 1 in my R-rated superhero movie list.

This movie needs no introduction. Almost everyone has watched it. Movie includes strong amount of violence, *xuality and graphic nudity a lot. I means a lot. I was literally feeling awkward while watching it publically in cinema.
