The transfer value that certain players command is indeed mind baffling. Across European leagues the trend has pivoted young players who hold potential to attract some exceptional sums. In particular it seems like it all takes a steady run of good form for value to accelerate to extraordinary heights.

Topping the chart is kylian mbappe, the player who arguably set the trend for starlets to be sold for enormous sums. His present value is estimated at a whooping €259.2 million.

Right behind him is Raheem Sterling at €194.7 million. English men have certainly fared well in this regard as the top ten list has five players from England featuring Jadon Sancho, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Marcus Rashford and coming close behind at top five while Harry Kane sits at number 10.

Sancho's €179 million valuation comes as no surprise giving the the recent headlines and it will be interesting to see how much of this speculated sum is actually exchanged should the player depart Borussia Dortmund this season

The Premier League’s identity as the most valuable is also evident in this list, with six players belonging to English clubs. Liverpool had the most players on the list with four to their name while Manchester United’s sole entry was Rashford with his highly appreciated value of €152.3 million

The absence of Paul Pogba from the top 10 is also something to muse on given that the higher ups at Old Trafford are adamant that he would only be sold for a fee that falls in such a range.

However highly these players may be valued, at the end of the day a lot depends on the actual commerce and negotiation between profits and it is there that metrics and statistics may take a backseat for factors like commercial appeal and social media presence.
