It Is going to be one week from tomorrow that I fly out to Alaska my first adventure will start on June 30 when My brother-in-law and I will drive 6 Hours to McCarthy Alaska they say just getting there is a adventure in itself. There’s a dirt road that you have to travel on for about 60 miles they say it’s a pretty rough road sometimes they tell you to take all kinds of precautions like extra tire tire repair kit. At one point you come to this one lane bridge that actually was used to be a railroad crossing over the Kuskulana River Canyon and Bridge of course there’s no Railroad Any longer there’s actually a catwalk that runs underneath the bridge that you can walk on we will definitely do that history says that they built this Railroad bridge during the winter time in 1910 to help bring out all the copper ore that came from the Kennecott mine. While building the bridge they endured temperatures as low as -60°F. Photographs credited to Mike and Karla Hayes https://thegoodthebadandtherv.com/ #Nature #Alaska #adventure #travel
