intro

So whats the difference to vastly oversimplify a traditional computer runs on a binary system. Using a (bit) a basic unit of information with only logical values either a 1 (true) or 0 (false). Quantum computing uses a qubit(quantum bit) with three logical values a 1,0 and, 1 + 0. This is due to the need to process large sums of data simultaneously. This 1+0 isn't a math problem 1+0 but a yet to be utilized data. This undetermined value has yet to receive the corresponding information that will determine it's value.

1+0 basically represents a superposition giving 1+0 two values simultaneously true and false. By combining two distinct values they form a temporary superposition. For a better idea of what a superposition represents reference either the Schrodinger equation or the Double slit experiment first conducted by Thomas Young in 1801. For a quick refresher the double slit experiment demonstrates the principal of wave particle duality, that light exists as both a wave and a particle.

Importance

So why does this matter why pursue a different form of coding at all. Just imagine for a moment immense pool of data used every day everywhere. From corporate servers to personal computers, smart phones, ATM's and even mining farms. All built on silicon semiconductor chips and use binary code. improving the way in which data is processed. Tasks that today are extreamly slow due to the complexity will require much less time potentially even less hardware.

Potential applications

Qubit utilized by a hypothetical quantum circuit will enable design of algorithms that have significantly less complexity than classical algorithms. By decreasing complexity required in the traditional system you increase the speed of processing while simultaneously reducing impact on system components.

In cryptocurrency mining as well as encryption security the classic system of binary has almost reached its limit. Just look to the vast system requirements for Bitcoin mining as evidence. This is true in encryption as well making a encryption key large enough to ensure security of devices is progressing in difficulty this has the potential to also require a system not routed in binary.

The number of potential applications to a qubit quantum circuit base system are impossible to list. Although a few that stand out are genetic sequencing, Ai relative to medical research such as pharmaceutical compound design. Probably the most important improvement or replacement of the current (SCADA) (Supervisory control and data acquisition) system. This is important because allot of infrastructure such as power plants use (SCADA) or similar systems. Look to the Stuxnet worm as evidence of how dangerous the current system is.

Is it possible

Several companies are testing many prototypes with quantum logic imitation, however all of these are emulators. Classic silicon based chips wont work in quantum computing.

a quantum circuit must be made of gold. Not only that it must also be super cooled to a ultra low temp facilitating a super conduction effect. Doing so will increase the stability of the purposed system. This is thought to be the possible solution to quantum decoherence. By isolating the system as much as possible from environmental interactions that cause the system to decohere. this and a strong error correction system that is still theoretically impossible to design with current understanding of quantum interactions in relation to qubit decoherence.

Conclusion

This is not my usual topic but sometimes the facination superceeds concern for writing something easily understood or relatable. Ill be back to crypto tomorrow if you like my content please like share and subscribe for new material daily.

I am very impatient when it comes to these computers. I am very interested in how it will improve our communication needs.

a perfected form of a qbit system would eliminate current redundancies. computers are better understood when you look at what the evolution of their components. in the past there was a system resource cap that limited possible lines of code to essentially math problems IE calculator. Setun was a cold war Russian computer from 1956. due to restricted access to transistors they designed a computer using ternary coding it functioned using tubes only this is truly a primitive Qbit type system with a three logic value. The production stopped in 71 there are no surviving models today. though not quantum computing it is much more efficient than binary. and the original research is under three current patents. Two governments and Samsung all research dead ends after coding info and rudimentary design specs. so change is coming mabey not quantum computing but a good first step. sorry for the novel of a reply but no one even knows this existed.
