Summery

A little over two weeks ago i gave an overview detailing the changes to cryptotab browser. In said article i outlined a profitability experiment using 3 phones using the (SDM) server dependent mining function. I ran the phones for a 2 week interval with a roughly 5-7 hour interval in which the SDM function was inoperable. Due in part to the need for sleep / and the SDM requisite to be reactivated every 3 hours.

Under the assumption that the H/s measurement was a emulation not real I consulted earnings calculator's. The general consensus i reached was a measurement of roughly $6/month Before the price increase at roughly $10,500 a bitcoin. My experiment starting on October 3rd at 12:00 and ending on October 17 at 12:00 began at 0.00080016 BTC. Running two weeks and a day at the end it measured 0.00120778 BTC. This roughly coincides with the earnings calculator I referenced initially.

Cryptotab browser listed the first measurement at a value of $8.12 USD and the final measurement at $13.62. According to my calculation adjusting for inflation this puts my profit for roughly 2 weeks at around $4.50 give or take. This is rather surprising because this aligns more or less with the earnings calculator.

Assessment

The initial cost of the pro 10x SDP mining package for each device is currently listed at $11.49 a unit. So all thre phones cost around $34.50 all together at a $6 a month profit it takes 5.5 months give or take to begin to profit. This sounds bad however take into consideration if you will the cost of a BTC mining rig. Around $350 can get you a parallel miner that can mine at 10.5 TH/s. Then a desk top to control the mining rig . You come out to a initial cost of roughly $1,325 just for components. From there you have to consider maximum internet speed available as well as the cost of power.

For many the technical aspect of a traditional mining operation is daunting. The costs are extreme considering my $1300 figure is for bear minimum purchase. Given the many complications and expenses associated with mining a $35.00 start up to make 3 old phones mine BTC sounds reasonable. So to any one like myself is interested in mining but don't have access to all the prerequisite $$$ or materials and know-how. Cryptotab is a great place to start turn those old smartphones from paper weights to BTC miners.

If you act right now 10/17 there is a sale 34% off for 3 devices together meaning the overall cost is $24.

Conclusion

I'm not saying this methods a income however many like myself are hesitant to buy crypto outright due to the fluctuation on price. So this makes faucets and blogging like on read.cash for some crypto a good call. Given the minimal collateral required for the cryptotab pro or free version of cryptotab. This is not the worst idea for yet another source of BTC.
