Introduction
Children right from infancy show signs of leadership potentials in them. A look at a group of children playing will reveal that without their knowing, children assign leadership roles to themselves, e.g. Some of them play the role of fathers, some role of mothers, some others, the role of children, while others play the role of servants, e t c.
In a football field, Children in the midst of their peers assert roles on themselves or choose from within themselves who leads the group without knowing exactly what they are doing, e.g. team captain, goal keeper, the halves, the forwards, e t c, everyone according to his ability. They choose who to play with and who not to play with. Children (students) always work in groups. What one of them do affects others. A child who belongs to a group of hard working students and who do his or her assignments and homeworks, will work hard too, in order to meet up the standard of the group. Where the performance level of the group is high, it will work to improve your leadership role. Like if a child is hard working, only him can influence other members of the group who proved to be lazy. A task is easier to handle when handled by a number of children than when handled by individual. This is because when individuals bring together their different ideas, it results to greater or better performance. As children work together, they also learn from each others. The effect of a group on what one can achieve is very great. A lot is achieved with the effects of all that is involved. For enhancement of ones relationship with other people and for improvement of one's academic ability there is need for one to develop such qualities as co-operation, respect for one another, tolerance and empathy.
Development Of Leadership Talents.
When students are formed into group, they interact with others. Students who feel inferior because of their social background are helped to overcome such fears as they make meaningful contribution in the group. They later come out from the group more confident and may end up being the group leader. Students who look at themselves and feel inferior are always uncomfortable in the class. Those who have high self-concept of themselves and look at themselves as somebody perform very well, believing that if John can do it, that he Peter can equally do same. Active participation of a student in school activities requires that the child should ask questions, make contributions if they are called for. By so doing the student his or her self-concept on the positive side. Some Student are so aggressive in the school. They function to the level that everyone does not want to deal with them. In the classroom, they constitute themselves into bullies. In most cases, they disrupt school activities. Such students when given position of responsibilities may tend to want to please the authority hence the leadership qualities and tendencies in them come into focus. Getting actively involved in school activities makes one expose the potentials in him or her. To sit down like a dummy hinders the exposition of potentials inherent in the individual.
For a student to make a successful living he or she must be hard working. Hard work leads to success while laziness leads to failure.

You are right. It is better for something to be done by a group than for that thing to be done by an individual. It makes it easier and faster also. There goes a saying Two heads are better than One and this is a good implication.
