Study this picture very well then read through....

I read Steven Covey book, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, years ago. In one of his illustrations he portrayed how some leaders demand results from their people without minding their personal development or equipping them for productivity first. They are mindful of effectiveness without preservation of life of such people they want the best from....

Actually, that single book modelled part of my earliest leadership. Anyway, Myles Munroe and John C Maxwell influenced me most when it comes to kingdom leadership pattern. I lived on what I learnt from them but most importantly I live on the blue print of Jesus' example of perfect leadership.

There are so many needs in the world now. People's quest for fame and result is so alarming. Everyone wants to be known or be heard. Pastors want their churches to grow by force in a very short time, in order to claim it is the grace of God.

Some preachings that tell young people that by this time next year they will build mansion, buy cars, fly air craft, when they are jobless now. People hype the gospel. Some has turned to motivational speakers who wouldn't speak that no matter how motivated you are you still need to go through "the process".

Because of the above issues, I have observed some leaders who request productivity from their followers not minding how they come about it. Bankers are given a target. If they didn't meet up they will be sacked. Therefore, some lady bankers have to sleep with rich men just to help them meet the target demanded from them, or else be sacked.

Now results are more important than values. In this 21st century, some are careless about values and morals than they focus on success. It's a pity. People, even churches, celebrate success that is gotten from ill gain. People lie about their age to be promoted. They cheat to make gains. They steal and kill just to meet up, yet, unfortunately the society celebrates them.

Leaders will give you target and won't care if you survive after bringing success for them. Some leaders will push you into blessings that have 'too much sorrows' afterwards, and they don't care. Just get the results for them and die or they push you away and employ another.

I am result oriented. People around will tell you better. But I don't demand return from people I have not taken time to equip. Before I could stretch you to do anything, I must have invested something in you directly or indirectly. And in the long run, your personal preservation is better than my target from you. Maybe that is why I have not made too much yet.

But one thing I believe, life is a process itself. No matter what we want now, we must follow it gradually to get there.

I call on all leaders to be more concerned on training their leaders before requiring too much from them. Equip them first before telling them what to do. Empower them first before expecting too much from them. Organize leadership trainings to develop them not to punish or bash them. Send them to professional trainings with your money or company money. Be more concerned in their development than anything. Some people might not appreciate it but it is ideal thing to do as a leader. God and nature will reward you for that.

Are you a kind of leader that don't care how your people fare as far as you get what you want?

Do you murder your hen because you want to get an egg by force from her? That's why you won't last long... Be a leader who impacts people first.

Be a leader who equips people around you.

Be a leader who makes people better.

Don't be blinded by quick success that you forget/jump the process.

Thanks for reading my Article I really appreciate sir/ma.
