Why is it that each day one wakes up in nigeria, there must be one ugly news or the other waiting to greet them good morning?
When are we going to be truly happy and live peacefully in our own father land?
It seems this people just derive joy making us unhappy and restless all the time. They hate it when people are peaceful, it seems from all indications.
I just heard one news this morning about nin, I've been trying not to believe it because of its true, then they're doomed
NIN is national identification number which can only be obtained after a successful registration for national identification card and we all know how difficult it has been for people to go through that process due to the lack of transparency and incompetence in the registration process
Well, I don't want to believe that the news is true; it was posted on "Nigeria info" Facebook wall now that federal government has directed all telecom service providers to ask all it's subscribers to provide their national identification numbers (NIN) within two weeks
As it is their normal way, they threatened that those who fail to provide theirs within two weeks will have their SIM cards blocked!
According to the director General of the national identity management commission(nimc) Aliyu Aziz only about 41.5 million Nigerians have been successfully registered out of the 206 million people in the country
It took the commission over ten years to register and issue national identity cards to that number, now they want 164.5 million people to register within two weeks?
Why Now, of all times?
How are they going to achieve that?
Is this a ploy to reduce the number of people that have access to the internet?
What exactly do they hope to achieve?
What offence did we commit to deserve all these wickedness and high handedness from this evil regime?
I still pray and hope the news is fake, I hope they'll come out and deny it like they always do when the people come at them for making bad and evil policies.
