Whatever makes you happy
Really?
People often make this statement meaning that their happiness is paramount which is very good, we ought to consider our happiness in whatever we do. Nobody wants to be unhappy for whichever reason. We are in constant pursuit of happiness in life
But to what extent do we pursue this happiness?
At whose expense?
Most times we tend to be so desperate for our own happiness that we forget that other people also want to be happy; that is why I don't completely agree with that statement "whatever makes you happy" and people say it often
That statement goes to show how selfish people can be and how careless they are about the feelings of other people and their happiness if not, that statement wouldn't come out easily
Other people's happiness matter too, their feelings and happiness should matter to you before your own happiness can be complete and justified.
If you are truly happy when people around you aren't then something is wrong. Infact, other people's happiness should even make you happy too. That is why we are humans and we ought to care for one another
Our happiness most times should be dependent on the happiness of people around us because the beauty of life is our fellow humans around us.
Now, are you happy?
