There is a kind of thing you'll do in my place and the elders will ask you "iga abu ogbenye bulu amoosu?" which translates to "will you be a pauper and a witch at the same time?". The reason they ask the question is that being either if the two is already bad enough, it's enough tragedy to be poor, adding witchcraft to it again is a disaster which means that the victim can never amount to anything good, they are finished hahaha
Unfortunately, most poor people don't celebrate with other people when they make it in life, rather they start looking for ways to pull them down but they forget that good things only come to those that appreciate them. You cannot badmouth another person's success and expect success to come to you, the law of karma must come to play. Yes!
If you're in the habit of enjoying other people and even professing bad publicly when they succeed, you better stop it because it will do you no good.
Burna Boy, a Nigerian music icon recently bagged the Grammy award, and the whole country and in fact, Africa celebrated him for that prestigious award, along with side Wiz kid and few others. As was expected, his home state, rivers state invited him to celebrate with him in his state and he honored the invitation
It was indeed a great celebration in portharcourt, rivers state. After the celebrations, a picture surfaced online of Burna boy, wearing a very beautiful designer outfit with a pair of bouts but one leg of the bout seemed to have a sand dent around the sole of the shoe.
To my surprise, the only thing the poor masses could see in that picture was the dent on his shoe, some people even said that the shoe sole was pulling off. Wow!
Why is it always difficult for people to see the good in others and celebrate them no matter how conspicuous, but it is so easy for them to see the bad or evil in another person no matter how hidden it is? Even if you open the deepest part of your belly and hide your bad and cover it up with good things people will still excavate the good things, throw them away just to expose that little bad in you. Why are people this way?
It is a very bad habit that can neither do the person doing it nor the person they're doing it to any good because most times the person in question doesn't even take notice of all those things. Let us love one another and stop the unnecessary criticisms and envy
Rather than envy others when they make it, celebrate with them and ask them to help you if you have to. Success is contagious, envy and jealousy can drive success far from you. Let's be cautious
