Machines or manual labour

Chores are part of our daily living in our homes; a lot of domestic chores arise in our homes like dish washing, clothes washing etc

In those days, during the time of our fathers and grand fathers, the strength and wealth of a man used to be measured by the size  of his yam barn and the vast land he cultivated

And the virtues and loyalty of the women were measured by how well they performed domestic chores and how well they can cook

Nowadays, a lot of things are changing with the advent and advancement of technology and machines; though some people still perform their farm work and domestic chores manually because they can't afford the machined4

With the way technology is advancing, you can agree with me that in the nearest future, machines are going to take over most of the things we do manually now. A lot of homes are already used to clothes washing and dish washing machines.

Tractors and other machines like it are taking over some of the labour the men engage in and I know that more machines will be invented to do most other things as time goes on

Some people, especially the elderly that experienced and participated in all the manual labours have criticized the use of machines, arguing that it will make humans lazy and unproductive

Some other people, however, are of the opinion that the invention of machines has helped humans reduce stress, they encourage the use of machines and even advocate for invention of more machines to help humans

No doubt, machines are really very helpful to humans but they sure have their cons and so is manual labour

So which do you prefer, manual labour or machines?
