There's something our people call "chi boo anu ozo" which means "each day comes with a different new story"
As human beings, each of us has that one thing or the other that they just can't tolerate and let go just like that, I hate injustice against anybody and I hate it when people take advantage of other people's ignorant to victimize them. Worse still, when they victimize people using the name of God! That's just absurd!
At this point, I believe you should know the direction this post is going, so if you can't take it, I advice you stop reading Now...
We continue...
Religion, according to Karl Max is the opium of the masses; religion is meant to make people relax and be happy even when all is not well. But we see these days from our so called religious leaders is just the direct opposite of what religion should do for people
Fear, panic, threats, amidst others are what we see these days in our worship places.
During the first pandemic lockdown in Nigeria, the news about different pastors displaying account numbers for people to "sow seeds" went viral on the internet; showing that their only concern is the money they receive from the people and not even their welfare. None of the pastors who claim to be God was able to heal even one patient from corona
In fact, some one even joked that the "men of god" closed their churches and were patiently waiting for the corona virus to be over so that they can re-open their churches and continue their healing; as funny as it sounds, whoever said that is not far from the truth judging by what is happening now
Some of these people that parade themselves as men of God are among the problems we're facing, especially in Nigeria, they have so much influence on the people even more than the government but they use their influence only to their selfish interest and advantage
It's almost a tradition in Nigeria that people who live outside their home towns travel back at the end of the year which is also the season of Christmas. Some people travel to reunite with their people and the town while others travel to attend one ceremony or the other because most people fix their occasions during this period so they can get more people to attend
On the other hand, churches celebrate Christmas every December and "cross over night" every 31st night, which they have turned to fund raising ceremonies and members must attend if they want to be alive to see the next year, if they don't attend, one misfortune or the other will befall them if they are even alive to enter the new year. Pathetic!
Some "men of god" always use the "cross over night" as the last opportunity of the year to scoop the remaining money in the pockets of their gullible followers because after 31st night, majority of the people will travel and won't come back until around mid-January or even February
"Men of god" now give people dates to travel. Hahaha. That's the latest strategy!
They don't want people to travel before their fund raising services because they need their money. Some of them threaten that if their members travel before a particular date, they might not come back alive! How did we get here?
I don't want to mention the names of the churches involved in this but I'm sure some of us know them, that is total nonsense!
Even God himself doesn't coerce people like that, God does not force people to do things against their wish
Someone was complaining bitterly this morning that he has series of ceremonies to attend in his village but goimg by the daye his pastor approved for him to travel, he is not going to attend any of the ceremonies. That is how gullible people are, and we're in the 21st century
What baffles me is how these gullible followers forget easily and put their sense of reasoning on pause mode when they're with their pastor
They travelled to different places from January to December and did a lot of other things during the year without the consent or involvement of their pastor, now they want to travel for Christmas celebrations and suddenly their pastor started hearing from god
People people just have to be careful, don't be naive. God cannot stoop that low
Everybody should develop a personal relationship with God and stop listening to anybody that call themselves men of God, don't allow them use you. Know your God and pray to him personally
I'm.sure some people might feel hurt reading this, especially those involved in all these. Rather than boil in anger and resentment, think about it and change, improve yourself and stop being used or using other people to enrich yourself
God is not a beggar and he doesn't need anything from you to be God. If you want to do anything for the sake of God from your heart go ahead and do it but don't allow anybody coerce you into doing what you don't want to do in the name of "God said".
This doesn't also dispute the fact that there are some genuine servants of God out there; just be wise and test all spirits
Compliments of the season
