Issues with paternity tests

Technology has opened and civilized the world more than ever, a lot of things that were considered impossible in the past can now be achieved due to technological advancement in the world. Technology has developed the world in a way we never imagined and made life much easier

Technology made it possible for one to see another person who is in a faraway country and even apeak with them through video chat, technology made it possible for blood to be transferred from one individual to the other. These of course are among the least things we enjoy in our modern world due to technological advancement. There are a lot of good things we enjoy today, all thanks to technology

However, there are loads of other things that don't go well, or should I say, there are a lot of the technologies that we use in a bad way, one of them is the DNA test. Every technology was invented to help us and make life easy but when people start abusing them it can turn around to negative results

A DNA test has been in existence for many years in developed countries and they have used it to better the lives of the people over there but since it became common in my country, some people have turned it into something else. This does not mean that it's not abused in developed countries but the abuse is more here

Every little thing, people rush to DNA labs to determine their children's paternity. Most times when men go for DNA tests they don't consider the emotions of their children and even that of the wife if the test comes out in favor of the woman. I don't know why the DNA test is trending these days, every day we hear it on the news, we see families being torn apart because of DNA test, many innocent children rendered "fatherless" every day because of DNA test

I don't see the difference it will make for the man if he goes for a DNA test and finds out that his child is not biological, the result will not only hurt the child and traumatic them forever, it will also break the man's emotion and ego. So why do the test?

I think there are things we should just let be, some things are better left untouched because if you try to look into them there must be negative consequences. The truth is, no home will remain the same after a DNA test because if the result confirms that the man is not the father of his children, the children might suffer neglect from the man, and his love for them might decrease and lead him into indicating his responsibilities towards them. The man will also suffer emotionally, knowing that the children he had loved and cared for are not his will certainly break him down and puncture his ego as a man. Finally, the woman will be shamed but she will still get over it with time

On the other hand, if the result of the DNA test shows that the man is the father of the children, the trust between the couple will be permanently broken especially from the side of the woman and that home may never enjoy peace until they separate. So why do the test when it's clear that negative consequences most result from it?

Have you thought of the days when a DNA test was not out, did men go the extra mile to determine the paternity of their children?

I'm sure some of the men clamoring for DNA tests on their children might not even have been "fathered" by their fathers, but because the technology was not in place then, nobody bothered to ask. Some men would only suspect and keep quiet because they have no proof and their homes remained peaceful and united

I think we should change our mindset, a child is a child irrespective of paternity every child deserves care, every child deserves a father so don't deprive any child of that joy and privilege

Sometimes when the men clamor for this DNA test it appears as though they're angels who don't sin when in the actual sense they are even worse than women in that area, men are only "saved" by the fact that no matter how much they cheat they can never get pregnant.

I'm in no way exonerating the women or justifying cheating in any form, all I'm saying is that we should always try to resolve our issues without going too far, respect one another. If you truly love someone, you'll respect them and trust them

Let love lead

I know a lot of people will not agree with my thoughts on this DNA test issue especially the men, it is allowed for you to disagree but disagree constructively with clear reasons

I await your arguments in the comment section
