I'm sure it's no longer news that Nigerian youths wrote their names in the history book of the country and the whole world when they United for the first time irrespective of tribe, religion or class to protest against the high handedness of the government and extreme police brutality against innocent civilians
A lot of people all over the world witnessed the protests online and read it on the news; the protest gained major attention and sympathy from different people all over the world when the government sent the army to fire life bullets at the defenseless protesters which brought the protest to an abrupt end
The government, rather than heed to the people's demand and reform the police force, started clamping down on the protesters even after the protests are over.
The government started to ban the protesters from travelling out of the country especially those that donated money and supported the protest in one way or the other
The one that got everybody aggravated again is the fact that the government has been freezing some of the proteaters' bank accounts and arresting some of them; that's the height of intimidation and irresponsibility from a government that was brought into power by the same people
Since the government of Nigeria understands only one language, violence, the protesters have decided to hit the streets again on Monday 7th December, 2020
The police however has warned the protesters not to embark on the planned protest threatening to use force in them if they go ahead with the protest.
The main reason for the second protest is for the government to stop their fight against the protesters and also against police brutality which the government obviously hasn't done anything about it
I have fears that if of another protest should happen the way it happened before, it will spell doom for Nigeria because it's going to be more intense and the protesters might not leave the streets in a hurry even in the face of more brutality from the forces
I hope the world is listening and watching a senseless and irresponsible government so insensitive to the cries and demands of it's own citizens that have gave them power
I do not know if the proposed protest is going to hold but if it does, hhhmmm... I'm afraid. Someone should earn this evil, blood thirsty government because the death that kills the little dog does not allow it perceive the smell of excreta
