A teacher by example

If you've ever watched animals like goats or sheep, you'd notice that the young ones always try very hard to do what they see the older ones doing

I saw a similar thing in my choir yesterday; the choirmaster was teaching the chorister what to sing but he was using the wrong voice and he never realized it.

He almost got frustrated after trying severally to teach them but they were singing differently, unknown to him that they were singing the way he sang and not what he told them to singĀ

It's always better to show someone what to do and not tell them. When you show a follower or a student want to do by example it's easier for them to replicate it but when you merely say it, they might never understand unless they see it practiced

That's why it's always difficult to teach little children in school because they learn more by example. Even after reading and teaching them they need that extra demonstration to understand better; and this also means that the teacher has to know what they're teaching also because you can't give what you don't have

That's what teaching is all about; in life generally, we mostly expect people especially those funder us to do things the right way even when we do them wrongly.

We must do things rightly if we expect people to do same. Don't say one thing and do another, people learn more from what you do and not what you say.
