Have you taken your jab? that is the question I always hear the people nowadays but the answer ,especially in our area, is that they are afraid of the vaccines because of the rumors that it can affect their health. But there are also willing to be vaccinated yet there is a limited stocks of vaccine that is factor why in some area the vaccinated percentage is very low
The problem brewing right now is some local government unit is implementing the that only the vaccinated people have the privilege to enter in some establishments just like malls and restaurants and the privilege to travel. I know that this is only to persuade the people to be vaccinated and that is the right thing to do but on the contrary, it will discriminate people and and violate their basic rights.
This actions from some LGU is still premature because the percentage of the vaccinated individuals is still very low and the distribution of vaccines is not properly distributed the government give the big bulk of the vaccine to the capital of the country and small amount to the provinces but some city outside the capital buy vaccines from their local funds.
The government should think this action before implementing this one and to fast track their vaccination program and focus on the strong information dissemination and reach the targeted 80 percent herd immunity of the over all population rather than segregation of the vaccinated and unvaccinated people .
