Valorant it’s a competitive team based first-person shooter, which have grown over the past years, nowadays with 16 characters to choose from it can be a headache to evaluate all of them and which one you should play most, to know which one you should select, you need to have clear the role you feel more comfortable with and what’s your play style.
There are currently four roles on Valorant, duelist, controller, initiator and sentinel, every each one with their pros and cons, duelist. Let’s have a quick look at every individual rol.
Duelist
Duelists is the equivalent to entry fraggers on CC:GO, they have to enter first to a site and make give information to their teammates, they usually have abilities to make them self-sufficient. One of the most common duelists it's Jett, she has some abilities that make her a perfect entry fragger, being able to travel thought the map as anyone else.
Controllers
Controllers have abilities that make them able to block enemy vision or entry, such as walls or smokes. They help their teammates by blocking enemy vision. Omen it’s a controller that not only has smokes to block enemy vision, because he also has an ability that travels thought walls and blind enemies for a short amount of time.
Initiators
Initiators help their teammates revealing enemy positions with their abilities, so they have more map control. Sova it’s an agent that it's able to revel enemies positions with an ability that recharge after a short amount of time.
Sentinels
Sentinels are one of the useful roles when playing on the defending site, because their abilities let them slow down enemies or blocking their pat. Sage it's one of the most useful controller agents in the whole game because she is not only capable of rising a wall with 800 of hp, she can heal their teammates or her own.
