Hello lovely people of Read cash. How are we doing today. Guess we good. So today has been eventful for me though it has not been pleasant because we had to bury a Chorrister's father today. It was sad but we give glory to God.

Death as we all know is the end of the life of a person or organism. That is to say no breath or sight or anything like that. The person is lifeless at this point. Mr Chukwunenye was a Barr in his hometown and from his biography he was a good man and a man of honour and peace. One who loved his people and cared for them. Father of five children. I don't know him in person but people got somethings to say about him and which is what I want to dwell on but before then I will love to share with you photos from his burial.

During the Mass in church
Priest praying at the grave before the internment

Grave been covered

The above picture shows the coffin ⚰️ and grave before internment and we could see the children in white dress

He died at the age of 74. One would say he lived long others will say he didn't but I think living long or not shouldn't be the focus but if he lived well and fulfilled. From my perception i would say yes because he touched lives and helped people around him and even in death people sang his praise. Only from the crowd you will know that he was indeed a good man. I felt so bad seeing how the wife cried and children shed tears. It is actually painful to lose a loved one. I have lost a loved one many years ago when I was a kid. She was my younger sister I felt bad then but I really can't remember the feeling because I was small not to talk of someone who is grown and have taken care of you since birth. It is really hurting. I pray he rest in peace. The daughter is our choir member so we attended the requiem mass and sang for them. I pray they find the solitude to bear the loss. Amen.

This picture was taken after the burial

Going further and using this incident as a point of discussion I would love to ask us few questions.

What will people say about you after your death?

What legacy are you going to leave behind ?

Are people going to be sad that you left or they would be happy that you actually passed on?

Will people come out to talk good things about you and speak of how you affected lives positively or will they ran causes even on your grave.

Let's not forget they are good and bad legacies so which will be said of you?

Now, this is the question we should ask ourselves because most times people think that there is nothing to life than just life. I watched a video where this pastor was mistreating a begger who came to him not knowing it was an angel in disguise. The pastor was once poor and God raised him up but he now detest the poor and needy. This is an example of most of us. Sometimes we think because we are blessed so other people are trashed to us or means nothing. Their welfare isn't our concern forgetting that God cannot bless everyone equal. He has given to you to give to others. By the way, the bible tells us that the more you give the more you receive but most people will rather allow that thing to get rotten than give it out.

They are some people you can't even eat the left overs from their tables. Some will rather spend at your burial than help you get better. There is a story of this sick woman who had nothing to pay her hospital bill. Several calls was made to get relatives to pay the hospital bills but no one agreed to have money. So the doctor then called them to come and take the woman's corpse that she was now dead and not too long relatives starts sending in money for mortuary and burial arrangements. When they came to carry the corpse the doctor gave them their sister took his hospital bill and told them that they were not good people. They could actually raised money for her but only in death. It is so sad but most of us are like that. We wouldn't care for our needy only but in death which is bad. A dead person cannot appreciate whatever is done to them because they can neither see or feel anything. It is what you do for your fellow human being while still alive that they can appreciate and talk about even in death.

It is important that we try to affect the lives of people around us because we have only our legacy which is our good name to live on for us. There is this African adage(Igbo) ezigbo afa kariri ego meaning good name is better than money. When you make a good name for yourself, people will never forget about you and your good works will always speak for you. That is why the name of Jesus is always on our lips likewise some saints who have lived good lives. We also have leaders who have led and people talk about them like Neslon Mandela. Some people don't know what he did but atleast the name is never new when called reason been that they affected lives positive. Be the reason why someone smile today. Do not wait till it is late because no one knows the time it will call. No one knows the time they will die so start building a name for yourself today.

Also we should know that we are dust and we have no power of our own to control our lives. The day our clocks stops ticking that will be the end of us. So, show love to your neighbor today, that person seeking a helping hand, the one you know needs something don't wait for him or her to ask first, you can just do it and don't expect anything in return because God sees all your efforts and he will bless it richly.
