Are we moving towards an other Lockdown

The fourth wave of Corona Virus especially the Delta variant which emerged in India is finally getting its roots in Pakistan. Sindh Government has already announced a complete lockdown in Karachi although due to rivalry the Federal Government has not been happy with this decision but the ever increasing number of affected and casualties make them somehow realize the gravity of situation as resulted in partial lockdown in some sub-sectors of Islamabad. Is the bell ringing for another lockdown? Or closure of small businesses and educational institutions? Can a large proportion of population who work as daily wagers, retailers, and peddlers bear another lockdown? It is tough for the government to decide whether to impose a complete lockdown or move towards smart lockdowns in patches. Government needs to speed up the vaccination process as large proportion of population is still un-vaccinated and furthermore most of them even don’t want to be vaccinated either because of trust gap or fear of vaccination itself. Factual realties must be kept in front, now it is time to act rather than to play blame games.
