Smoky, messy pastel colors ruptured the sky
Stunning sun has left the horizon asking the stars to come out
The snores of ceiling fans, giggles of young children
Scattered toys, crumpled papers, spilled chocolate drink on the white-tiled floor
Cold breeze whispering in everyone’s gentle ears
Telling darkness to swathe the world of phantom.
Arms of the clock on the wall making my world go round.
Eyes were about to close when the sound of the doorbell awakened my sleepy head.
And a young boy, a pair of drumsticks’ keeper broke the noise of silence.
A studious one who always makes sure that everything is replenished.
Thought he’s the kind of student who’s afraid to spill what’s left unsaid from his mind.
Couldn’t even dare to use my magic spell to trace the butterflies inside his stomach.
Talks less, always faces his books or notes.
Little by little, could see in his eyes the innocence, his sincerity.
Now, a young boy who knows how to radiate positivity.
His contagious smile inspires every student to keep on soaring high.
Salute to this young boy whose eyes have the capability to magnify even the minutest terms.
A competitive one yet dedicated.
Could see him naughty, sometimes, but to him, books are books.
Time is not gold; it’s diamond, so precious.
Academic grades do matter, so stick to it.
If you were to ask me who he is, I would say he’s the smartest with a good heart.
Find it hard to teach him, but why?
Because he is.
