Limewire was a prominent peer-to-peer file-sharing network in the early 2000s before being shut down in 2010 due to copyright infringement claims. Mark Gorton, the company's founder, was fined $105 million by record companies in 2011. Limewire allowed those who were too young or naive to download almost anything, from songs to movies, without having to pay for it (PIRATING).

Today, the brand is making a comeback thanks to two brothers who purchased the brand's rights and are reviving it under the Web 3.0 banner. Paul and Julian Zehetmayer intend to build an NFT marketplace devoted to music and art, but this time the brand will operate for the artists rather than against them, with the majority of income going to the artists.

It is here without a virus this time.
