Monohara Sweet
Manohara is a round shaped sweet made of channa and sugar or sarchanchi and kheer layered with sugar on top of golla. It is a popular sweet in India. But in Bangladesh it is synonymous with Pranhara.
Method of preparation:
The main ingredients of Manohara are sugar, pistachios, cardamom and milk. In addition, the breath of Dub is also used. Mix refined sugar and small cardamom with chickpeas and set it on fire. Care is taken to ensure that the mixture has a granular texture. When the mixture gradually thickens to paste, it is kept off the flame. When the mixture cools, manda is prepared from it. A little of the mixture is taken from the mand in the palm and rolled into a ball. Then the gollas are coated with pistachio and cardamom powder. On the other hand, a thick sugar juice is filtered and one ball is dipped in the juice and placed on a banana leaf. Within minutes the thick sugar coating dries to a sound coating. It seems that the main ingredients are milk sugar and fragrant spices. The main ingredients of Manhara are mixed well with sarchanchi kheer and aromatic spices, then balls of the mixture are rolled and a thin coating of sugar is placed on the balls.
