They often say that people who do plastic surgery are not content with themselves. They said the Kpop industry is so narcissistic and obsessed with beauty. Saying that they don't love themselves. But how can they not do plastic surgery when every day they open their social media, people bashing them about their facial features? They said they can easily ignore them. How can they ignore it? When their emotions are so attracted to the negativity. How can they love themselves when every time people around keep talking about how unfortunate they are in terms of beauty?
Every time they post their photos on social media they usually receive hateful comments, "Is she a Kpop star? Her nose is so flat. She has money already, why not she can't afford plastic surgery?" Not just Korean netizens who commented about their faces but also foreigners. "He is just a typical Asian. Nothing special." So how can they love themselves? When they perform it is always the appearance that they criticize.
I remember Janine Berdin, a Filipino singer who was bashed because of her nose. "You have money already, why not take your nose to surgery." Then she replied, "I have money to contour why I need surgery?" Then many years later she takes a nose job. Then some are happy with her decision but some are judging her decision regarding not being thankful for God's gift.
So many people are talented but don't have desirable beauty. Some have desirable beauty but don't have any talent. In the entertainment industry, who got a lot of fame? Usually, the one who has desirable beauty with no talent. So you can't judge others for taking plastic surgery.
Even if plastic surgery has a side effect they don't mind it just to pass by society's beauty standard. Are they not allowed to feel beautiful and confident? Because of being unnaturally beautiful?
"Don't tolerate them doing plastic surgery! You are just tolerating them not to love themselves!" a comment I saw in YouTube videos.
How can they love themselves if people forbid them to love themselves because of being ugly? You can easily judge their decision but you never saw their hardships to be accepted by our society. You don't support natural beauty but only beautiful appearance. If they are not so pretty, you will never recognize their talent unless they do plastic surgery.
