Social media is used for communication, expressing yourself, or for entertainment. However, social media is so addictive because of the dopamine produced by it. Social media is not just used for communication but bragging and it produces negativity and insecurity. Social media is not good for expressing yourself because fake friends will use it to destroy you. Social media is not good for asking for help for your depression because they will not help you but make it worse. It will trigger your depression when you see others bragging on social media. When you do, a mistake in posting on social media, you will gain bashers and haters. Sometimes they will hack your information to destroy your image. So many people who don't have depression but end up depressed when they use social media. Then how about if you already have depression before you use social media. It becomes worse.

Don't say what you are thinking on social media, especially without thinking about it. Every click can give an impact on you or on everyone. Don't need to share what you feel or what happened to you because people on social media don't care. They will just put sad reactions but they will not help with your problem. If you need help consult your psychologist or psychiatrist. Don't need to ask for a chatmate on social media.

Use social media when you post something important or you post something memorable. Add people you know or have a deep connection with like, family or close friends, not toxic people. Much better if you uninstalled social media if you don't have something memorable in your life. If you want to communicate with your friends or family use Messenger, Whatsapp or etc. If you want to help yourself, you know what's good for you.

Don't use an excuse that you use social media to ask for help because the truth is no one will help you. Don't use an excuse to post too much negativity on social media just to make yourself cool or trendy. Don't use depression like a trend or a cool thing. People will think that you are a toxic person because if you really have depression, why are you on social media instead of consulting a psychologist. If you're diagnosed with depression, some psychologist or psychiatrist will advise you not to use too much social media because it's not good-mentally.

It's only a matter of self discipline and being a responsible user.
