Following BitCoin Cash ecosystem and becoming a member of a greater family.
Being part of the Bitcoin Cash community has been a great experience this far. The people representing BCH have been open and welcoming to accept new adopters into their fold, sometimes helping you by providing feedback, while simultaneously being open to new ideas and suggestions. I believe that this openness of the BCH community in comparison to the strict orthodoxy of BTC maximalist has been going on since the fork and it is an indicator of the liveliness and strive for improvement that BCH exhibits vis-a-vis the near-fanatic conservatism of Bitcoin origin community.
In an ever-shifting cryptoverse where new tokens, new blockchains, and new projects constantly give birth, it is all too important to show flexibility to innovate and adapt, otherwise there is a strong chance you will be left behind. When the BTC rally started this past winter everyone was speculating for a $100,000 - $500,000 price tag in the following years. Now, I am having second thoughts about that as other tokens have been outperforming BTC and its market share is south of 40 percent.
Whereas, in the case of BCH, its price has underperformed and it is nowhere near the the 2018 ATH levels. For some this is bad news. For me it is good news. Because, as a small investor it allows be to buy-in BCH cheaper that I would have bought. Also, the rewards from my involvement in Noise.Cash and Read.Cash will be worth a lot more and the price will start pumping. For a token that aims to be everyday digital money for the people, then its price should be affordable for the common people to invest to and get involved.
When do I think BCH price will pump and reach the x3 to x10 from its current price that most of the community is looking forward to?
Well, I guess sometime this summer, provided that the new updates in its ecosystem roll-out successfully.
Which are those?
SmartBCH, the side-chain of BCH, currently in testnet that will allow for dApps to be developed in BCH and DeFi applications to migrate from high fee networks such as Ethereum to BCH. Already, in the test phase migration has been proved easy and smooth for many projects.
Juungle NFT marketplace is still in alpha phase. It is the NFT marketplace that is/will be operating with BCH. In the NFT sphere competition is fierce with Ethereum marketplaces such as Openseas, Rarible and the Wax blockchain marketplaces taking the majority of users and creators onboard. For that the members of BCH community behind Juungle have started a Flipstarter campaign, which is analogous to Kickstarter, in order to collect funding to improve the NFT experience in the BCH ecosystem and take Juungle to the next level and make it possible to compete with the top NFT marketplaces.
Simple Ledge Protocol Tokens (SLP) are created in the BCH ecosystem. Developers from various projects can create their digital assets and tokens, even those of games in a simple manner, and allow for an easy, fast and protected transfer within the BCH blockchain for minimal fees.
As you can see these projects, which in a sense could operate as a juggernaut for Bitcoin Cash and will be operating in the BCH blockchain and with its token, if executed successfully will entice a number of developers and users to flip from existing blockchain networks that have high fees and are slow into more agile and versatile networks. Bitcoin Cash is changing and BTC cannot keep up with these changes.
In a way, I am lucky to be part of this changing environment and be allowed the opportunity to collect and express my thoughts in a blogging platform that supports its authors with Bitcoin Cash rewards.
