All’s fair in love and war they said Our love was a war And everyday a battle of wits 2 captains can’t man a ship they said Now imagine 2 generals in charge of one troop Ours was worse We were 2 admirals in a fleet A ship can’t steer both ways at once they said Yet everyday we stayed together to row apart All the things they said And all the games we played Our love was an impossible one Yet there we were Two captains in a ship Two generals in a troop A never ending war, our love Yet we stayed and we fought Oh it was marvelous!
