How I started my hobby: Crochet

Every one of us always have their hobbies. Could be to kill time or to relax from work and busy schedules. For me, it's simply because I wanted to make a keychain. Back in 2014, I had a crush on my classmate's keychain which is a crocheted strawberry. I always fancy keychains and that caught my eye. I didn't know it back then that it was crocheted. Then I tell to myself, I will be able to buy or make myself something like that. After some time, I forgot all about it. When I was already in my 2nd year in college we have a subject where we are taught how to crochet. That's where it all started. I learned the basic stitches and made a coaster. Since we were very busy with our thesis, I don't always have the time to crochet so it was like a year after before I finally have the time to actually learn how to crochet. I watched youtube tutorials and learned that crocheted toys are what they called amigurumi. I started to make an amigurumi, from a ball to an ice cream in a cone. I also started making phone sleeves and some amigurumi characters. I'm gifting it to my boyfriend back then. But then I got busy again and it was only after maybe 2 years that I started to crochet again. I searched for crochet groups on Facebook, look for shops that sells different kinds of yarns and hooks, learned how to read patterns and ask for some tips from crochet designers. Now, I can make my own doll without pattern. I know I'm still a beginner in this hobby but I'm happy with my progress.
