As I play, I learn a valuable lesson, an asset worth keeping.
From a game of chess, I have learnt the concept of both humility and optimism. Optimism in this regard that though I may be of less influence and power as a pawn on the board, with time, I may become the queen with so much power. Humility in this aspect that though I may be a queen tomorrow, the pawns can become queens with time thus, underestimating none.
From a game of pool, I have learnt the concept of putting opportunity to good use. When life presents you an opportunity in form of two shots, make sure at least a ball is scored, others well put on the pocket to increase your probability of winning the game hence, reducing that of the opponent. Otherwise if not put to good use, the opponent if they be an opportunist, the game favours them.
From FIFA, this one for gambling purposes. We often play it with my best friend who is so extra good at it. It has taught me the art of risk taking to win or learn. Though the case, we often gamble with my friend in all games but just so to make the game interesting. Mostly at last, we even pay each others back but the lesson well learnt is sacrifice and risk taking. I would have won him $100 in cash, he would not be doing very fine but still bet $600 so as to win and make a profit. The concept is reciprocated with me and we call ourselves legendary gamblers.
From the game of romantic relationships, having had two well cherished relationships crumble in my face and left in sorrow, I perceive it quite a share waste of time and resources. Though deep inside I still believe in love and I declare a beautiful love life tomorrow, for now nivaupuba. I would rather be deeply immersed in work for the financial benefit of the world at large than continue playing the game of breaking each other's hearts and shuttling a people's dreams.
Pick a lesson from the game of your choice and apply the concept to the real life situation.
