Last saturday, November 26, 2022 to be exact, me and my partner went to SM City Cebu for a weekend date and decided to watch the part two of The Black Panther movie by Marvel Studio.

We arrived at the mall a little late due to a heavy traffic chill'hustlers at exactly 6:30pm. Instead of wanting to watch the 5:00pm movie slot schedule, we ended up buying the ticket for the last full show which is 8:35pm.

After buying the ticket for the movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, we decided to eat dinner and dine at Jollibee. Wifey ordered a super meal with an upgraded drink into coke float while I only ordered a two piece chicken joy with original flavors and a regular coke for my drink.

We stayed for a couple of minutes on our table after taking our dinner and our newly couple friends arrived right on time for the movie to start and went on to SM Cinema. While stuck on line waiting to enter the cinema, we decided to buy some foods to eat while watching the movie and bought a bucket of popcorn and iced tea.

Upon entering the cinema, all four of us went to the restroom for taking advance disposals that may lead to interruptions while the movie starts showing and after that headed to our designated seats.

Quick Black Panther I Review

If you've watched the first part of the movie Black Panther, wherein its lead actor Chadwick Aaron Boseman plays as T'Chala/Black Panther and also the King of Wakanda successfully defended their own territory. The first black skinned superhero movie did great and was recognized by many big personalities in the black community around the world. Little did people know and the entire fans of Chadwick that he's been silently fighting a personal health battle against cancer while filming the movie back in 2018. Two years after, Chadwick lost the battle of his life in 2020.

Many were shocked of Chadwick's death and people are saddened by his passing. His death makes the movie more interesting as people wonders who's gonna be the next Black Panther and that leads to this part two of the sequel.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

The movies started in an intense scene where Shuri, the sister of T'Chala/Black Panther is watching closely the health status of his brother and ended up dying. It brings back the memories of Chadwick knowing he died in the real world. This scene alone makes it heavy emotionally for those that really follows the sequel and for the people that loves Chadwick.

Continuing the Legacy of Black Panther was a floating question for the entire Wakandian's as they move forward. The part two of the sequel introduces also a new world under the sea which citizens are called "Talokan's". These people are human's who gained the ability to breath underwater after drinking some kind of herbal mixture from an ancient cave.

The leader of Talokan's ambushed attack on Shuri while rescuing a young scientist of Mortal world and ended up on the territory of the enemy. Later on was rescued by a lady soldier of Wakanda and a former lover of Black Panther.

Upon arriving back to the land of Wakanda, the leader of Talokan's planned a full scale attack to Wakanda which leads to the killing of the Queen Ramona in front of Shuri, the heir to the throne.

This one scene adds another heavy emotional pain to the fan base of the movie which also leads Shuri's invention of the new key to unlocking the new Black Panther suit that protects the entire Wakanda ever since. Shuri then immediately orders the entire army of Wakanda to a full scale war against Talokan's and ended up beating their leader, the one who killed her mother and forgive him.

The movie ended on to that knowing fact that there are already three different magical world on the sequel of this Marvel Studio movie.

In Conclusion

All in all, it was a real heavy emotional movie. Imagine the leading actress needs to cope from two devastating death's of her love one's. The time length of the movie is 2 hours and thirty minutes which is not bad for a 290 pesos cinema ticket.

We ended up going home at 11 pm and reach home almost midnight. We didn't have any choice but to ride a taxi home as it was too late in the evening already and jeepney are already on their garage relaxing as boundary for the day already ends.
