The saviour, and sheperd of all and the lord of lords.
I know some people would be expecting what I would say as they see this topic but I tell you Jesus is the king of king. Jesus Christ has many identities. He is know as the king of kings, he is the lamb of God, which takes away the sins of the world.
He is the bread of life which sustains those who feeds on it, he is the good Shepherd, who gives his life for his sheep( the world).
The Lord.
Now many prophet came before the Lord but none of them was called the lord, something won the title and position which is SELFLESSNESS, HUMILITY, WILLINGNESS to be the saviour who died to redeem man back to God again,(phillipians 2:5-11). he said I am the good sheperd ;the good Shepherd giveth live for his sheep (john 10:11).
As a Shepherd christ maintains a very good relationship with his sheep ( those who have surrender their lives to Christ.
He says in verse 27 of John 10 that my sheep hears my voice I know them and they follow me. That implies that to be able to hear and recognize his voice and follow him daily. You must have become a sheep in his sheepfold.
To follow Christ is to take instructions without hesitation. This is what makes him Lord of your life . If Christ is truly your Lord you would renounce every other things that compete with his position as the Lord over your live.
Personal exaltation of Christ.
So what does it really mean to accept the saviour and sheperd as lord?.
But it may surprise you you to note that not too many people (even believers) understand the implications and importance of christ being our sheperd and Lord. They merely refer him as lord, but they don't really know what it means to be Lord over their lives.
The moment you start attaching conditions to yielding to Christ's lordship. Then he really isn't your Lord, if you are truly born again, if you have truly made him your saviour, Shepherd and lord then you will not have any reservations in accepting his purpose for your life. You will be prompt in obedience and submission to his will.
In essence of you truly acknowledge Christ as your Lord then you must do this things:
*Love him : you will love him with your whole heart, strength and mind. You would love him to the point that nothing can separate you from that love.
*Obey him : if he is your Lord you need to obey him this is the first proof that he is your Lord.
*Serve him : if you acknowledge his Lordship then you will be eager to serve him reverently and wholeheartedly.
Painful end of rejecters.
A gloomy end awaits all who rejects the lordship of christ.
The end of all who deny and refuse the lordship of is always marked by sadness and desolation. This is why you must choose the path of wisdom today by letting him be your saviour, Shepherd and lord give him the chance to lead your life. You will be glad you did it.
What conviction does one need to realise that these people understand and are assured of the fact that Jesus is the true companion and never fails they must have got this conviction of abiding presence as they consistently walked with him, Despite the problem you face.
Jesus never condemn any penitent soul no matter how vile it may be . He would be with you and fight your battles for you .
Conclusion.
You need to take the truth of Christ being the all sufficient companion seriously and give yourself to him you certainly experience victory over every sinful habit, burdensome, challenge, morbid, fear, loneliness.
