Balut is one of the street foods that is not scary to eat compared to other street food that can be harmful if not properly prepared. Unlike the inside of pork and chicken that needs careful preparation and cleaning before being sold on the road, the wrap is protected by its shell so it is more certain that whoever or wherever it is being sold, there is definitely no other hand holding the flesh its.

In the Philippines balut is a common food that most people long for in the afternoon and evening. Balut is especially popular with people who are weak because of the belief that eating it can strengthen the body.

We used to believe that balut is nutritious according to the old saying. It is not new to say that balut is a knee brace.

As far as I know only adults with weak knees should eat balut. But no matter what age, young or old, there is no denying the absorption of the soup and the eating of the balut chick that Filipinos really love.

The balut is high in fat. Fats provide energy and support the cells our body needs. While the balut also contains protein. Protein is also important in the production of enzymes in order for the various systems in our body to function properly.

The cholesterol content of balut is high. Our body also needs cholesterol but it is bad if it is too much.

Balut is delicious

For me the broth and the yellow wrap are the best. The chick is also delicious especially if it is just the right size. But if you are tempted to have a big beak and a lot of feathers, just close your eyes to swallow, chew and swallow because it is a waste of nutrients.
