It seems the word deadline is not foreign to our ears. The word deadline comes from English which means deadline or deadline. Procrastination has become a hobby for everyone on the grounds that it will be more productive to generate ideas when the deadline is tight.

In psychology, procrastination is known as procrastination. Procrastination is a person's tendency to delay or not immediately start a job on purpose.

It turns out that the perpetrators of procrastination have appeared since the days of Egypt and Ancient Greece. The behavior of procrastination that ended up causing many failures was widely criticized at that time.

The practice of procrastination generally occurs in the academic sphere. Burka and Yuen estimate that 90% of students procrastinate. Many researchers also estimate that 46%-95% of students regularly procrastinate on their coursework.

Actually, what is the reason behind someone doing procrastination?

Recent studies have found that procrastination is caused by feelings of fear of failure due to high standards, low self-efficacy and self-regulation, lack of time management, dislike of tasks, or high laziness.

External factors such as the number of tasks and self-ability that others doubt can also be the cause of procrastination.

Procrastination tends to have a negative impact. The number of tasks and the lack of time they have will interfere with mental health. There is a pressure that causes the task to be not optimal until it is late in collecting assignments.

But, for some people, this method is an effective way to get the job done.

Budi, for example, is an artist who needs high creativity in his work. For Budi, a creative and unique idea is something that cannot be forced. So, Budi usually chooses to postpone his work until he finds a good idea.

No one knows when the ideas will appear. Until one day his cellphone rang, an alarm sticker appeared on the notification bar that said H-1 deadline ended. Budi panicked seeing that and he rushed to do it.

Fortunately, ideas began to emerge and Budi finally managed to complete his task well. Cases like this also happen a lot in our daily lives.

A person who procrastinates can be complacent until the deadline suddenly appears in front of his eyes. Facing tight deadlines will definitely make people panic, to the point of stress. Interestingly, it was at this critical minute that Budi managed to turn stress into a creative idea.

Stress can actually have a positive impact. The amount of stress received and the ability to overcome it will determine the consequences that will be caused. If the amount of stress that enters is very large while the ability to cope with stress is small, then it has a negative impact. However, if the source of stress is proportional to its capabilities, then stress can have a positive impact.

Scientifically explained that some memory systems in the human brain will function due to stress. In people who experience stress, the central nervous system in the brain can shift the system in charge of storing memories to help the brain work. So that the ability of the systems in the brain can work optimally.

From Budi's case, Budi is a person who is good at managing stress and emotions. Budi allows himself to accept stress and makes him a whip to explore creative ideas. And simsalabim, within 24 hours the task was completed well.

For those of you who are already immersed, learn to manage stress and use it to explore creative ideas. Don't let stress get to you to the point where it drowns you.

I've also somehow managed my stress. The main reasons why procrastinate a lot as you've mentioned are laziness and those external factors.
