Testigo cotidiano. (Poema)

Estos ojos han visto
un inocente temer
a quienes le deben
amor

Estos ojos han visto
una fatal contradicción
en quien debe ser ejemplo

Estos ojos han visto el
desplome de las buenas
costumbres por el empuje
de desenfrenadas pasiones

Estos ojos quisieran ver
un mundo de virtudes
invencibles, de altares
para gloria del espíritu

De voluntades entregadas
al bien absoluto, de un
amor eterno por el Saber,
de respeto perpetuo a la
inocencia.

These eyes have seen
an innocent fear
to whom they owe
love

These eyes have seen
a fatal contradiction
in whom he should be an example

These eyes have seen the
collapse of the good
customs by the push
of unbridled passions

These eyes would like to see
a world of virtues
