Sailing For Everyone

Many people wrongly believe that sailing is only for the rich. But, in reality sailing is accessible for almost anyone. 

My first boat was a topper sailing dinghy that I paid £87 for. I use to transport it on my roof rack and sail her in the local sailing club. 

If you look on online auction site and search for "sailing dinghy" or "sailing yacht" you will be surprised how cheap boats can be brought for. 

Sailing clubs are generally the cheapest wat to get afloat with many offering budget moorings.

Over the years I learnt how to maintain boats and currently own a 29ft sailing yacht. I do all the maintenance myself.

That is one aspect about sailing and boating in general thar is generally very expensive if you pay someone to maintain your boat.

With the Internet and YouTube it is possible to learn most things and most boat yards will happily offer advice and help to any new boat owner.
