The saving of money is more on you but if you enter all your purchases and categorize them in a way that's helpful for you, it does make you more aware of where your money is going. It's cool to build the town which is a little incentive to use the app. Not good for impulse shoppers or those that wanna cut down or stop in-app purchases because they do still pop up "deals" to buy fake diamonds with the real money you're supposed to be saving.
