Bitcoin is near $20,000; Solana and Shiba Inu coin gains
On Monday, cryptocurrency tokens fell further, extending their weekend losses. Crypto tokens, on the other hand, experienced a limited drop.
Traders are anticipating the latest US consumer price index reading, which is due on Wednesday. The report could influence market expectations for the Fed's next move at its meeting later this month.
All other crypto tokens were trading in the red, with the exception of Solana and Shiba Inu. Cardano fell 2%, while Unus Sed Leo fell a percentage point.
The global cryptocurrency market cap was trading lower at $914.16 billion, down more than 3% in the previous 24 hours. Meanwhile, total cryptocurrency trading volume fell 5% to $53.46 billion.
