Build.Cash is dedicated to increasing openness and transparency and is following in the great example set forth by BCHN.
This is the first of monthly progress reports that will be issued on the state of Build.Cash
At the end of June it became possible to devote much more time to the project.
This first progress report will include ALL previous developments of the project up to the end of July and from the August report onward will only include monthly changes.

The vast majority of 4.4075 BCH is from Cheap Lightning as bootstrapping funding allocated for webdev and legal services.
The rest is from donations and also tips on posts written by C.L. on read.cash.
As a side note all future Build.Cash updates will be posted to a newly created read.cash account.

All of the above have been paid by C.L. using personal funds either in USD or, in the case of the Flipstarter set up, in BCH from a personal wallet.
Current Progress
After the failure of the Build.Cash flipstarter campaign, C.L. decided to move the project forward in a very limited capacity. The 4.4 BCH from C.L. was originally intended to pay for back-end webdev services at the agreed upon rate with a developer as well as the cost of legal services to form an NPO in Japan. The developer was however no longer able to take on the project due to focusing on other projects and a new developer was researched. A second developer was entered into negotiations with and they ended up also not being able to take on the project due to other commitments.
In the meantime the price of BCH has fallen about 50% and is no longer sufficient to pay for web development or NPO registration.
Nonetheless the project is moving forward with C.L. still compiling data, doing research, setting up a limited site and the design as well.
While this will need to be mostly redone and reworked when a better back end is in place, there are a lot of things that can be done on the periphery as well to move the project along.
In July C.L. spent at least 19 hours working on Build.Cash (18hours and 52 minutes tracked).
Up to this point the majority of effort has been put into research and laying a basic foundation for the project.
This has included:
• Discussions with several key people in the community about the project.
• Project scope planning.
• Research into various other similar sites.
• Securing the domain and setting up the bare bones website.
• Writing of explanation articles.
• Creating new accounts and channels on various platforms:
Slack
• Setting up the (failed) flipstarter campaign.
• Reevaluation of the project.
• Setting up a more robust back-end.
• Moving the site to the new platform.
• Redesign
The Future
From August onward the majority of the time is going to be spent listing projects on a very surface level. At a later point the fleshing out of these projects pages will be completed, starting with the most influential in the ecosystem.
