*a game played on a court with long handle rackets used to volley a shuttlecock on a net
Badminton is a racquet sport played using racquets to reach a shuttlecock on a net. Although it can be played with larger teams, the most common forms of the game are "singles" (with one player on each side) and "doubles" (with two players on each side). Badminton is often played as a casual activity on a yard or on a beach; the formal games are played on a rectangular inner court. Points are scored by striking the shuttlecock on the racket and landing on it within half of the court.
Each side can only strike the shuttlecock once before it passes the net. The ends of the play when the shuttlecock hits the floor or if an offender is called by the umpire, service judge, or (in their absence) on both sides.
A shuttlecock is a feathered or (in informal match) plastic projectile that flies differently from balls used in many other sports. In particular, the feathers create a higher drag, causing the shuttlecock to slip quickly. Shuttlecocks also have a higher speed compared to balls in other racquet sports. The shuttlecock flight gives the sport its unique character.
The game was developed in British India from earlier battledore and shuttlecock games. European play is dominated by Denmark but the game has become very popular in Asia, with recent competitions dominated by China. Since 1992, badminton has been a Summer Olympic sport with four events: men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, and women's doubles, with mixed doubles added four years later. At high levels of play, the sport requires great fitness: players need aerobic endurance, agility, strength, speed, and accuracy. It is a technical sport, requiring good motor coordination and the development of sophisticated racket movements.
The competitor competes with a racket that does not have to bounce off a shuttlecock (a sphere with a feather) to the opponent on the court that sets the net in the middle. The height of the upper edge of the net is 1.524 m in the middle and 1.55 m in the support. There are singles and doubles in the competition, in principle, it is the winner in the preeminence of two games and two games in principle. However, if you are preempted by 15 points (11 girls singles only), the score will only be awarded when the winner wins, and if the recipient wins it will only get service rights. Play similar to Japanese feathering was made in ancient and in the west west, but based on what was done in Europe (battledore and shuttlecock) before the 16th century, in the mid-nineteenth century, the Duke of Beaufort of UK Established in badminton to be established. There is also a theory that it is also actively held in India and the first rule was made in Pune near Bombay (Mumbai). The World Championships are held every two years with the Thomas Cup (boys) and the Eubar Cup (girls). As an Olympic event, it is an official event from the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games. Single genders, male and female doubles, mixed doubles are conducted. For both men and women, both sexes and girls are in China, and 38 medals that won the 2012 Olympics in 2012 are far apart from 18 in Korea and Indonesia, second place. Japan won the silver medal in the 2012 London Olympic Girls' Doubles (Ms Mizuki Fujii and Kaori Arakawa Orchestra).
Badminton is a very popular game all over the world. It is one of my most favourite game. Thank you very much for sharing it.
