How often do we go looking for something that is usually right in front of us? There have been countless times when I am running around the flat looking for my keys only to find them in my hand. Typically that means something: Value is Usually Right in Front of You.
Your Keys & Your Keys
Maybe your flat or car keys is not the example that came to mind. Possibly it was your reading glasses or your sunglasses that were on top of your head and the exact same thing happened.
What about those other keys? Those private keys... You know what I am talking about now right? It's the private keys to unlock your crypto fortunes and holdings.
Those keys arguably may be the most important keys you will ever come across in your life. Metal keys from the grinder are replaceable when lost or damaged. Alas, the other ones create an entirely different situation all together.
The Value Right Before Your Eyes
Let's start with a small story. It has to do with staking and Zilliqa. I was recently in a group discussion that was focused on the value, where & how Zilliqa staking takes place.
It was a lively discussion with different perspectives being shared and points of view being impassioned upon the group. Then there was something that came up.
I asked the question.
What does everyone know about gZIL?
As you might imagine there was complete silence. Someone asked, what do you know about what? It was as I had suspected, not much was known.
Only recently I had been checking status in the wallet and came across a value that I did not expect and was surprised to find.
As I headed to Coingecko to check status, value, price, info, etc. of this newfound gem, I started to learn about what was happening with Zilliqa.
In essence, a governance token was created with a finite supply that was focused on token holders that would provide an avenue for participation in the project.
This was and still is amazing news!
The Follow On Conversation
So as the group continued down the path of discovery and I shared what I had learned about gZIL and it's relevance to the Zilliqa token, it became very clear rather quickly that we had stumbled onto one of those gems and pieces of value that are right in front of us, yet we didn't quite realize it.
With that everyone carried on with the day, knowing that something new and exciting as well as valuable had just entered our fields! (10:15)
