Talking Crypto with the Kids

When financial systems are developing and growing, it's important to keep learning.  Equally if not more important is Talking Crypto with Your Kids.

What's the Baseline?

We have all been through it, whether you have kids of your own or learned it while you were a kid yourself. Seeking to impart knowledge or what we may think we have as wisdom can be a challenge at times.

Even more so when it comes to crypto.  But it doesn't have to be.

In an age where kids are accessing screens of all kinds at all times and spending more time in an environment where cognitive programming occurs, how important is it to understand how to communicate about technology?

Don't be mistaken, this is not advertising for Ledger, although it can be a good lesson.  Rather this is an example of an experience that can be informative for others as they navigate the situations of parenting and crypto.

Questions that we ask ourselves

The quality of the questions that we ask ourselves reflects the quality of the lives that we are living.  Pick any part of your life and identify the questions you are asking yourself about it.

How do I make more money? - You are asking yourself something a little different than how do I make more money...

How do I get the things I want in life? - Hmmm, another good example where we can find something a little different.

Why don't I have what my friends have? - This is a good one that fortunately has many options.

All of these question, have something in common oddly enough.  They are in sync with both what we talk about with our friends & kids as well as what we commonly ask ourselves.

With that in mind, is it any surprise that we have the question bank we have.  It's been learned since we were young.  Here's the great thing about it.  We have the opportunity to ask a different question almost as quickly as the current questions we are asking.

What Does This All Mean?

So where are we going with all of this and what does it mean?  We will get to the example and see what we can draw from it to apply to our current situation.

Earlier this year, yes just in the last few weeks, I was in a conversation with the youngin's in the house.  The conversation was about money and toys. Trying really hard to not have the "money doesn't grow on trees" response, it literally drove us to talking about the bigger issues than the $ which originally began the conversation.

Without the blow by blow of everything said, I think the most important results of the back and forth was finding several questions that have set the direction for days to come.

Who Do I Want to Be Today?

This first question came about in trying to figure out what the toys would do.  In having a conversation and keeping on asking the why of want, ultimately we could see that it was because that today's intent is to exist in a certain state.

Since that first conversation, there has been a daily occurrence at breakfast in the morning of asking the question;  Who do I want to be today?  Practice makes perfect...

What is the Best Thing that Can Happen to Me Today?

This next question begins to arrive closer to what we are looking at with crypto.  If the best thing that can happen to you today is something related to a value or currency denomination, then what happens if there is a technical solution that can do the same thing but better than that paper currency in your hand?

It takes a little time to have this conversation and again it takes consistence.  Even at a young age, kids are educated both in and out of school in a current fiat currency paradigm.  To expand that thinking there is a much needed dedication to not only asking the question, but continuing to ask the question.

How Do I Serve Others and Share (Add Value)?

The most important and critical lesson that we learn in life, we learn early on.  It is about how to share.  Unfortunately, most have been taught about this topic from a position of lack, rather than abundance.

So now is as important of a time as ever to keep talking to your kids about sharing, but rather than from a place of lack.  Let's break it down a little further.

Serving others will ultimate support abundance in all of us.  Through my resources being shared with you, we are both better than if only by one.  This is an incredible lesson and if there is nothing else from this article resonates, let it be just this;

Operate from abundance.  Fill your feelings of lack with abundance and everything will change.

Therein lies the question that will begin to change the very fabric of your reality as well as your children.  Thinking from a baseline of abundance will expand your field.  It will increase your growth & more strongly connect you across many.

Last Thought

While this page may have a bit of an over the top esoteric feel to it, the message is very simple.

  • Our children are the keys to our futures.

  • Learning and teaching to ask different questions creates amplification.

  • Cryptocurrency is a cornerstone in these conversations.

Just like driving a thousand kilometer journey in the dark, you can only see a few meters in front of you at a time, yet you can reach your destination.  So is true with the conversations we have with our kids. Bit by bit and each day will create exponential outcomes over time.
