If you've been watching what is going on today in the BTC market, it started really early in the morning as usual. Market is Up Market is Down. Just Breathe

2000 Point Down in 5 Minutes

While that title may not seem out of the ordinary for most of us in the space, when I noticed how others were writing about it across the cryptosphere, I realized there was something different happening.

Early before the sun was rising this morning, BTC was pushing that elusive 60k price tag. It's crossed the thresh hold a couple times but each time it is met with a swift hand sending it back down.

This morning was no different. I was up and in a small trade and one of the fellas in the trading group looked at a couple of the indicators and said it's time.

Closed out the position with just a few minutes to spare and then watched the price plummet nearly 2k only to recover over the course of the day.

A more savvy operator would be riding both the ups and downs, but I'm not quite there yet in the bilingual operations of longs and shorts. The longs keep me busy enough.

The Flow Must Go On

During a time like this morning or during the day when there are flash decreases in price and big volatility, it's easy to get wrapped up in the moment and lose track of what is important.

Stress, tunnel vision and any other number of coping mechanisms take place. During times like these. For some it can be quite stressful.

I always just fall back on;

Be sure to just breathe.

It's really that simple. Most of us are chronically dehydrated as well as being chronically shallow in our breathing. That has all types of effects from changes in judgment to impact on your sleep.

It's really that simple. Yes, I said that again in reiterating the point.

A Breathing Technique That Can Help

When it gets a little stressful or you feel that you are on the edge of your seat here's a breathing technique that you can practice a few times and make it almost an unconscious practice that will help in a pinch.

Box Breathing

You may have heard of this type of breathing a time or two so hopefully this is only review then. If it's your first time, then you're in for a treat as there's no need to be verbose on the subject.

There are just a few steps and I think that you will appreciate the practice even after the first time, because if you are typically a shallow breather, then you will notice something nearly right off.

note: Be sure to inhale fully when you practice this method. You will know as your stomach extends out as opposed to your chest puffing up.

  • inhale to the count of 5

  • hold for the count of 5

  • exhale to the count of 5

  • pause for the count of 5

  • repeat.

There it is. The one thing about this approach if it's truly your first time with any kind of breath work is you might become a little lightheaded at first.

Not to worry, everything balances out.

The Market Moving Does Not Mean You Have To Also

We know the market goes up and the market goes down and that doesn't mean you have to.

Keep breathing and you will do just fine.

Be blessed!

If anyone would have told me years ago how important structured breathing was I would have just shook my head in disbelief. Box breathing, resonant breathing and a few other types are so important.
