Waves

Waves are disturbances in an elastic medium where particles carry energy from one point to another without the whole body moving.

There are quite number of types of waves which include transverse waves, electromagnetic waves,longitudinal waves mechanical waves.

Light, sounds, infrared radiation,microwaves are all examples of waves.
