Socialization refers to the process whereby the culture of a society or country is passed to another person or country. There are various types of socialization which include;
PRIMARY SOCIALIZATION: This is the type of socialization which is done by the parents or guardians. This type of socialization inculcates discipline and most importantly, teaches the child the language of the society and also gives a sense of belonging to the child.
SECONDARY SOCIALIZATION: This type of socialization is the one done by external people who are engaged in parenting the child. Such include teachers, friends and other social people apart from parents. This socialization ingrains discipline into the child.
ANTICIPATORY SOCIALIZATION: This kind of socialization is done with the aim of joining a group or society.
RESOCIALIZATION: This type of socialization is given to people who have lost their virtues given to them initially. As the name goes,it is a repeat of the socialization.
